Testing in zero-G aboard the KC-135 'vomit comet', somewhere over the gulf of Mexico. The counter to the right indicates the G level, and the number of parabolas so far in the flight (42 so far). I'm up to about 450 parabolas, @ 30 seconds each, or 3 & 3/4 hours of zero-G time. |

At the Russian neutrally bouyant facility at Star City, next to an empty Russian 'Orlan' suit. This was taken 'back in the USSR', before we became buddies and space station partners. This project installed ultraheavy particle collectors onto the exterior of MIR station. Sergei Krikalev did the installation, during the beginning of his really, really long flight. |
